Sipping Chai with the Digital Marketing Team: Exploring Their Perspectives and Goals

‘Chai Pe Charcha’, an initiative by the HR Department to connect with employees at an informal level has garnered quite a success over the last few months. Employees now look forward to these informal team meetings to discuss their problem areas, seek suggestions, and strengthen their bonding with co-workers. 

Recently, the Digital Marketing Team participated in a “Chai Pe Charcha” session with the goal of discussing departmental goals and challenges. Moderated by HR Managers, the team members started with a formal conversation on how they can improve their branding efforts by leveraging the diverse strengths and perspectives of each team member.

During the discussion, team members shared their unique backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints, which helped break down barriers and increase understanding among colleagues. People talked about videos they watch, past experiences, influencer marketing, etc.

Soon the discussion turned into an informal conversation that was an icebreaker and fostered a sense of camaraderie. Everyone talked about their strengths and weaknesses. When asked to share work motivation, the team members shared their views proactively.  

It was a productive session that helped team members to know each other closely, which is fundamental for effective teamwork. When team members understand one another’s strengths, weaknesses, and communication styles, they can work more efficiently towards a shared goal. 

Through this dialogue and informal conversation, DM team members were able to develop a deeper understanding of each other’s backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. This understanding can prevent misunderstandings and conflicts and create a more positive and productive work environment.

In the long run, team members with strong relationships and open lines of communication are better equipped to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. The Digital Marketing team’s discussion is an excellent example of how diverse teams can collaborate and succeed.

The open dialogue created an environment where individuals felt comfortable sharing their unique experiences, and insights into Digital Marketing. They discussed various ideas to enrich the company’s branding and online presence, such as a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, paid campaigns, influencer marketing, utilizing video marketing, and many more. 

To sum up, “Chai Pe Charcha” turned out to be a valuable employee engagement practice that helped team members learn from each other and expand their horizons through effective problem-solving approaches. By embracing diversity and collaboration, the Digital Marketing team was able to tap into the collective intelligence & creativity of the group to achieve greater success.
