You don't need to spend that kind of money. Just walk away and order it on line

See, I look at it from a perspective that $1300 for a smart watch is a lot of money, no matter how you look at this. But if you wear it, enjoy for what it has to offer and utilize its features on a daily basis, then it pays for itself. If you can justify the cost based off your financial situation and based off what I said, then I say go for it.

It’s not my cup of tea personally but if you really like it and have no problem with the high cost and depreciation, go for it. I tried it out last week and didn’t like it even though £1399 for a smart watch in my opinion is absurd anyway. I just don’t like white watches.

Get it. Ceramic is the most beautiful Apple Watch. It is the pinnacle of the series 5 AW. I enjoy every moment I am wearing it and am always looking forward for wearing it every day.

Get the aluminum version and this:
Just kidding, while it does look nice, it's too much depreciation when it comes to the Apple Watch for me at least, to justify the purchase.

Thanks, question I run and lift weights quite often how will the ceramic material hold up? (Chips etc.)

The ceramic holds up very well. It is very comfortable to wear, lighter than stainless steel. I have been using it during my workout since the day I received it (using on Friday and today, got it on Thursday) with free weights. No scratches. The material appears to be very durable.

Ceramic withstands scratches well, just don't drop it. Unlike aluminum, stainless steel and titanium it can shatter.

Hard to walk away when you’ve handcuffed yourself to the display table ?

I wanted a ceramic S 5 (I had a space-gray ceramic S 3) but opted for a stainless steel instead. White seems to be a limiting color for a man. It’s appropriate for sportswear but doesn’t seem to fit in with a dark suit or jacket.

Disagree on the dressy side.
A color coordinating sorts band or leather with the white ceramic adds a compliment to the attire.
The dark face, white body and coordinating band makes for a sharp appearance.
I have been complimented more times wearing the ceramic when in a formal setting than in casual.

To add to my reply, I purchased Apple Care plus to cover any accidental issues. The cost is not bad.

Yeah I feel like that would be a wise idea for such a pricey item.

More ceramic porn.

I just returned my unopened titanium S5 to the store. I ordered it thinking it would match my giant omega seamaster 46.5mm titanium. But then I broke down and ordered the ceramic when I realized I just liked it better. I’ll never have to worry about scratches on the ceramic or having to refinish it.

I looked at the titanium in the store, and it does look nice, but is actually a different hue than my omega.

Your experience is understandable. Ceramic edition is indeed the most beautifully made series 5 AW. Titanium and SS (both have regular common watch colors: black and silver for titanium and for SS: black, silver and gold) might look nice but none of them could defeat the shinning beauty radiating from the white (unique) ceramic color. Everyone around us will notice right away we wear AW as its white color brings out the unique shape of the AW conspicuously.

Did y’all order them when they first came out? I am seeing zero inventory in the stores closest to me.

Apple watches are becoming a common sight these days and people are used to them by now I would say. Not everybody loves the ceramic I think it’s worth noting. Those that have it here love it and I think that’s great.
