据媒体报道， 中国将在2023年底发射一颗新的X射线天文卫星，命名为“爱因斯坦探针”。
这是中国科学院空间科学先导专项二期继“太极一号”“怀柔一号”“夸父一号”之后的又一颗空间科学卫星，欧洲空间局、德国马普地外物理研究所、法国航天局也共同参与了卫星项目。
据爱因斯坦探针卫星首席科学家、中国科学院国家天文台研究员袁为民透露，卫 星已进入正样的最后研制阶段。
科学家从龙虾眼睛奇特的聚焦成像原理中受到启发，设计出一种特殊的新型X射线望远镜，同时具有超大观测视野和更高的探测灵敏度。
