沪宁沿江高铁将于2023年开通，是长三角铁路的重要组成部分，起自江苏省南京市，终至苏州市，全长约279公里，设计时速350公里。
其建成通车后将承担沪宁城市间的运输任务，进一步推进句容、江阴、张家港、常熟、太仓等全国百强县融入沪宁“1小时交通圈”。
沪宁沿江高铁沿线设南京南、句容、金坛、武进、江阴、张家港、常熟、太仓8座车站。
来自中国铁路消息，近日， 该高速铁路四座新建高铁站（句容站、金坛站、武进站、江阴站）主体结构已经完成，正在进行站房内部装饰装修和机电安装施工。
