微软扩展了 Windows Insider 计划，增加了一个新的 Canary 频道。其工作方式类似于现已消亡的 Skip Ahead Ring，为爱好者提供更早的体验 Windows 最新功能的机会，当然这也意味着其稳定性是最差的。
3 月 15 日消息，本月早些时候，微软扩展了 Windows Insider 计划，增加了一个新的 Canary 频道。其工作方式类似于现已消亡的 Skip Ahead Ring，为爱好者提供更早的体验 Windows 最新功能的机会，当然这也意味着其稳定性是最差的。
尽管新的 Canary 频道对 Windows 爱好者来说很有吸引力，但它也有一个问题：Dev 版本会自动升级到 Canary，并且没有降级选项。微软明确表示，从 Canary 回到 Dev / Beta / Release Preview / Stable 唯一的方法是重新安装 Windows。因此，现在微软免费赠送 U 盘，以便让用户可以在不购买额外硬件的情况下回到原先的频道。
微软已经发送了带有链接的电子邮件，需要 U 盘的 Windows Insider 可以在该页面领取免费 U 盘。IT之家需要指出的是，只有 Windows Insider 才能参与赠送活动（需要从电子邮件中获取唯一代码才能得到免费 U 盘），微软指出，U 盘数量有限，该活动遵循“先到先得”的原则，所以如果你想要一块来自微软的免费 U 盘，请尽快行动。
另一个注意事项是，收到 U 盘可能需要 6-8 周时间，这么长的时间意味着 Canary 频道会更新好几个版本了。因此，对于那些对 Canary 频道新功能变化不满意的人来说，在商店购买一个 8GB U 盘可能是更好的选择。
