Presentations are boring. On Miro, they’re not

Hey Product Hunt Community! I’m Kate, Product Manager at Miro. And we’re really excited to share the official launch of Miro’s new Interactive Presentation Mode. It’s a fresh way of thinking about presenting that:

👋Feels more like a conversation In a world of hybrid work, many of us sit passively in countless video call presentations that don’t feel very engaging, to say the least. That’s why we’ve built a presentation mode that lets presenters invite the audience to join in on the board and interact through reactions and input tools. And trust me, since we’ve been presenting this way at Miro, presentations have become much more fun and lively with sticky notes, comments, tons of love, and thumbs-ups to cheer the presenter on!

🥳Fits the format to the content, not the other way around. Traditional static and linear slideshow formats have us cramming our ideas into rectangular slides and bullet points. But Interactive Presentation Mode doesn’t just let you walk through slides; you can pan away to other parts of the board to show a PDF, live dashboard, spreadsheet, or whatever you want in more detail before returning to the slides again. The audience can also pan away from the presenter’s view (e.g., when someone’s late to the call, they can check out earlier parts of the presentation quickly) and follow the presenter back in one click.

💁‍♀️Avoids the awkward “Next slide, please!” “You’ve been there: Someone is clicking through presentation slides — faster than you’re speaking. Or you need to quickly hand off slides to the next presenter.” Interactive Presentation Mode lets presenters to easily hand off slide controls to the next speaker so that everyone can present their own slides.

And this is just the beginning — there’s still more work to do. Presentations can be stressful, and we want to make them more manageable, inclusive, and fun.

➡️Another reason why we are posting about this is that we want your ideas. What bothers you about presentations? How would you like to present your ideas better?
