这几年来，Intel的友商凭借台积电的工艺优势占了不少先机，在桌面及服务器市场上抢走了份额，Intel这边靠着12代、13代酷睿稳定了桌面处理器，服务器版的至强遭遇过多次跳票，前不久才正式推出了代号Sapphire Rapids的第四代至强可扩展处理器。
考虑到当前的情况，Intel CFO David Zinsner日前也承认一季度中他们在服务器处理器上的份额还会继续下滑一点 ，但是接下来就会稳定了，甚至会报复性回升。
因为Intel下一代处理器明年问世，主要有两个系列，一个是代号Sierra Forest的至强处理器，它会首次在服务器中使用效能核架构，而代号Granite Rapids的至强则继续使用性能核架构。
桌面处理器中则是代号Meteor Lake的处理器，也就是今年底要发布的14代酷睿，
这几个系列都会使用Intel 4工艺，这是Intel首款EUV光刻工艺，等效友商的4nm工艺。
