消息人士称，欧盟反垄断机构计划在四月底之前批准这桩价值690亿美元的收购案，允许微软获得动视-暴雪的全部资产。
收购获批的前提并非英国反垄断机构所提出的，微软必须拆分或出售动视CoD业务。这表明欧盟更青睐微软所提出的十年年货供应协议，该协议许诺一旦收购达成，微软保证CoD以各方平等的姿态登陆友商平台，为期十年。目前任天堂与英伟达已与微软达成协议，索尼尚未表态。
英国监管机构竞争与市场管理局（CMA）则认为长期协议还不够，所谓长期不如斩草除根以绝后患，CMA建议微软要么只收购暴雪，要么拆分CoD业务出售给第三方。
微软断然拒绝了此提议，表示拆分动视或出售IP是不现实的。欧盟则对长期协议表示满意，但有可能要求微软追加补偿协议，以消除索尼的疑虑。
