Microsoft is one of those companies that think ChatGPT and the like will change the world. Remember, it was the first to invest $10 billion in the project. As a result, it was able to power the Bing search engine with AI. Today, it announced that Windows 11 would soon get a new major update that will bring some AI-powered features.

Windows 11 Gets AI Support

For this, users need to be in the Bing AI preview program. It will allow Windows users to access the new Windows 11 features from the search box in the taskbar. It should be an improved version of what we’ve seen in Bing AI on Edge. We mean, in addition to general web searches, Windows 11 users will be able to ask natural language questions and get relevant answers. This is actually a pretty smart move by Microsoft. Since it has the right to use OpenAI’s tool in its browser and other products, it’s pointless not to include it in Windows. Once the update arrives, Windows 11 users will no longer have to open Edge and talk to ChatGPT. They can now do it from the search bar on the taskbar.

So Google still has to think about how to make it more useful. This is an opportunity for Microsoft to push its search engine and browser.
