Garmin Forerunner 965 listed by retailer ahead of its launch

Garmin is gearing up to introduce a new smartwatch dubbed Garmin Forerunner 965. Right now, Garmin is yet to disclose the timeline for the release of the smartwatch. However, there is a new leak that leaves nothing to the imagination! In fact, this is the second leak in a month. So we have strong reasons to believe that the Garmin Forerunner 965 release is imminent. Today, a retailer decided to disclose most of the watch’s specifications.

Garmin Forerunner 965 specifications

As per the listing, the Garmin Forerunner 965 boasts an AMOLED screen with 416 x 416 pixels of resolution. Worth noting, that this is an upgrade over the Forerunner 955 had a MIP panel. The wearable has a round dial of 1.4 inches. As per the leaks, the new watch is set to come with a more “vivid” and “detailed display experience”. That may explain the company’s choice of switching over to an OLED panel. Besides the display, the listing also confirms the GNSS Multi-band navigation system with GPS and GLONASS. The company is also offering its SatIQ technology.

The Garmin Forerunner 965 is also rated for up to 23 days of battery life in smartwatch mode. However, the listing did not disclose the battery capacity. It also points to 31 hours of usage with GPS mode active. The leak also confirms three stunning color options – Black, Yellow, and Silver. All models will weigh 53 grams. Unfortunately, the retailer did not reveal the pricing of the Forerunner 965. That is not exactly a surprise, after all, the watch had not been released.

As per previous leaks, the Garmin Forerunner 965 will come at $599,99 and $649,99. That means that the new watch will cost more than its predecessor. Again, there is no word on the release of the watch, but we expect to hear more pretty soon. Considering all the leaks, Garmin will likely come with teasers and the official launch date pretty soon.
