香港财政司将推进以数码港元和数字人民币作跨境支付用途的项目
2 月 22 日，香港特区政府财政司司长陈茂波发表 2023-2024 年度特区政府财政预算案致辞时表示，“我们会继续推进各项金融科技基建项目的应用测试及准备工作，包括「数码港元」和以「数字人民币」作跨境支付用途的项目。此外，金管局正与泰国央行合作，探讨让两地旅客分别以香港的「转数快」及泰国的「PromptPay」在当地付款，为旅客提供多一个安全、快捷及有效的支付选择。”
