Turn Wikipedia into a visual masterpiece
Hi PH👋:
I'm so excited to be launching Wiki2Map on Product Hunt today! Wiki2Map is an amazing website that gives you the opportunity to explore Wikipedia in an interactive and visual way - it's super cool! 🤩
😺 Why do I want to build Wiki2Map? I am a big fan of Wikipedia and know reading Wikipedia can be tedious sometimes. Therefore, I want to create a more interactive experience of reading Wikipedia.
🦄 What’s Special about Wiki2Map? 1. Readers can easily envision the hierarchical structure of a Wikipedia Site, as it is presented in a visually intuitive way. 2. Readers can view and explore the hierarchical structure of the content interactively, navigating through levels and categories with ease.
🛠 How do I build Wiki2Map? used Superus and the Wikipedia API to build Wiki2Map. Superus is a fantastic tool for creating stunning visual content. By utilizing its impressive features, I was able to create an interactive experience with Wikipedia data, creating a truly unique, one-of-a-kind experience.
If you are a visual learner like me, you will love wiki2map!
Congratulations Victor on the launch of the new product!
As a friend who speaks with Victor often, I am truly impressed by the cutting-edge and inspiring products the team has created.
When I was first invited to try Wiki2map, I was amazed by the interactive and visual experience. I told Victor that I would be sure to hunt for Wiki2map.
If you're looking for a unique way to experience Wikipedia, give Wiki2map a try. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated to help the team continue to improve day by day!
Congrats on your launch 🚀 They say the most important thing in a library is not the books but a system to organise and make them accessible. I can see the value of creating a visual navigation of a wikipedia page from a similar perspective. The raw content may sometimes look like a long piece of continuous text and scrolling to the right section can be tedious. I really like the colour scheme and the responsive user interface 👩💻 It has a slide-show like feeling, especially with the right-left navigation buttons at the bottom of the page.
I wonder if instead of a linear hierarchy with external links taking you another page, would it be possible to build a dynamic graph as we explore? At the moment it seems to navigate to a new tab when I click a link to another Wikipedia page.
