作为主机游戏生态不可或缺的一部分，实体版游戏不仅相较数字版更具收藏价值，对于玩家来说更是能够在通关后通过二手渠道转卖“回血”。
但随着数字游戏的逐渐兴起，开始有部分游戏选择在实体版中仅提供激活码，而不提供光盘， 微软即将发售的第一方游戏《红霞岛》就是一个例子。
近日，
Bethesda官方客服表示，《红霞岛》的PC/Xbox实体版均不会附带游戏光盘。
购买PC实体版的玩家会在盒子内找到Steam版游戏的兑换码，而购买Xbox实体版的玩家，盒子内的则是Xbox Play Anywhere兑换码。
