More and more companies are making APIs a mission-critical part of their business strategies. However, many questions arise in regards to the creation of an effective interface design and the potential obstacles involved in managing APIs. To shed light on these issues, Erik Wilde, Ph.D., a renowned expert in the API field, shares valuable insights.
In an interview conducted during W-JAX 2022, Erik Wilde, Ph.D., an API specialist at Axway, shared his insights on key factors that must be considered in designing interfaces that will remain effective over time. Eric Wilde, Ph.D., is a seasoned and internationally recognised expert in digital transformation and API management. Erik began his career as a technologist with computer science degrees from TU Berlin and ETH Zurich. He was a professor at UC Berkeley before moving into the software industry. Erik has worked in a number of organisations, always with the goal of improving the way information systems can help an organisation and its customers or clients. Erik is the author of numerous articles and papers, as well as several books and standards, and he frequently speaks at conferences around the world. His YouTube channel, Getting APIs to Work, provides regular updates on technologies, tools, events, standards, and the global API community to developers, IT professionals, product managers, and digital leaders.
