OPPO Find N2 Flip Is Company's First Step Into Foldables World

The OPPO Find N2 Flip is the brand’s first foldable smartphone to go global. So it is the closest rival to other clamshell handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Motorola Razr. This means OPPO has set higher goals and is moving toward them with big steps.

The company executive revealed some details concerning their strategy for the coming years. He said that they would launch more foldable handsets globally to make the brand grow faster.

Why OPPO Find N2 Flip And Not Fold

Mr. Zhang said that though global smartphone sales decrease, foldable smartphones showed the opposite trend. Well, this explains OPPO’s decision to rely on this segment more.

When talking about rivals, he said that OPPO had been investing in the field of foldable handset for much longer than Samsung. But due to the high brand recognition rate of the latter, it could become an absolute leader.

It turns out OPPO has been working on folding screen smartphones for five years. There were up to six prototypes. But at the end, they choose one.

At the moment, the first-tier manufacturers offer two types of foldables – flip and horizontally folding handsets. In its turn, the latter offers outward and inward schemes. So when OPPO was thinking about entrance this niche, there were two options. As a result, it chose the OPPO Find N2 Flip, and we have to say that was a wise decision.

Mr. Zhang said that there is a serious reason behind this decision. OPPO thinks clamshell handsets offer a more close-to-home experience. In other words, these phones are more similar to our regular slab-shaped phones. on the contrary, traditional foldables are more tablet-like. All these explanations make us think that the future OPPO foldables launched globally will be the OPPO Find N2 Flip follow-up models.
