全球GPU市场规模预计到2027年将达到1853亿美元，年平均增速达32.8％。
但是一直以来，国产GPU的发展远落后于世界先进水平， 直到2014年景嘉微才研发了首款高性能低功耗GPU JM5400，2015年西邮微电研发出了完全自主知识产权的嵌入式GPU 萤火虫1号。
这两年，芯动科技、摩尔线程等创新企业崭露头角，从消费级到数据中心都带来了全新的GPU产品，但架构授权都来自Imagination PowerVR。
据智绘微电子官方消息，旗下IDM系列GPU的第二款产品“IDM929”，已于近日完成设计，即将进入流片阶段，预计2023年内推出。
