Blink is putting the “date” back into “online dating.” 🗓️Let us know when you’re free: Instead of swiping for 10 hours a week (the average for most daters on other dating apps), members let us know their dating preferences and availability. 📞Go on in-app phone dates: From there, we set members up for 10 minute, in-app phone dates with prospective matches. 👀Check out some photos: If the date goes well, members are shown three pictures of unnamed people, one of which is their date, and let us know what they think of each so we know whether to make the connection. 💌Match & message: If there’s mutual positive feedback, it’s a match and members can message in-app until they’re ready to go offline.

Our members constantly tell us that this is the easiest and smoothest dating experience they’ve ever had. And it works. Our match rate is 3-30x higher than most dating apps.

I created Blink because dating apps as they currently exist are broken. They make it difficult to find people we can truly connect with, leaving us trapped in a cycle of swiping, messaging, and going on mediocre dates with people who text better than they converse in person. I absolutely would have swiped left on my life partner on a dating app because he wouldn’t have checked the boxes on my list of things I was looking for in a partner. But, as I discovered after I started talking to him, he’s way better than anything I could’ve dreamed of.
