2月12日下午，有网友反映， 微信头像莫名其妙出现褪色的情况，用了一段时间之后与原图相比，清晰度和色彩都明显变得更黯淡了。
有的网友表示，自己两三年没有换过头像，也没有换过手机，但头像却褪色了。
对此，有网友猜测，或许是由于微信压缩画质导致的。
有媒体联系微信询问，微信官方回应称： “有小部分安卓用户反馈，在头像设置界面选择‘查看上一张头像’切回原头像，多次设置的头像色彩会变淡。”
