Support is great. Feedback is even better.

The makers of Beautify This!

Hi Product hunt! I'm Dhravya, the maker of @poet_this.

It's a small tool that helps you and more than 50,000 followers on twitter to create good looking screenshots of their tweets to share to other social media.

----------------------- Why was this required? -----------------------

Yes, there are many such 'screenshot tools' all around the web, but because this is a twitter bot, it's much more accessible. All you need to do is tag the bot under any tweet and boom! Within seconds, your image will be generated. Earlier, the bot used to be a selenium script that uses https://poet.so. But there were small problems with poet.so as well, so I created my own screenshotting backend that supports threads, and many, many other features.

Hosting was an issue, so I really optimised the imgen and got it down to about 1.50$/month for hosting, even with a very high volume of tens of thousands of images/day!

But this project might come to an end, which is why I've launched it today. Twitter will now charge 100$/month for accessing the API, which is wayyy above my budget. I asked producthunt for advice, and came to the conclusion that I shouldn't sell the bot.

It was a good run! The bot will continue working for about 5 more days, after which it will lay silent till I can afford it again.
