据美国媒体 Inner City Press 报道，加密货币交易平台 EminiFX 首席执行官 Eddy Alexandre 将在本周五将举办的听证会上承认参与涉嫌欺诈投资者 5900 万美元的庞氏骗局。Eddy Alexandre 在 2021 年 9 月至 2022 年 5 月期间就 EminiFX 平台做出虚假陈后，向数百名个人投资者募集资金，诈骗高达 5900 万美元，其中 Eddy Alexandre 承诺投资者通过其拒绝透露的新技术保证每周 5% 的回报率，事实上 Eddy Alexandre 将大部分资金转移至个人账户并购买奢侈品。
据悉，Eddy Alexandre 于去年 5 月被逮捕，并被指控犯有电汇欺诈和商品欺诈罪，但他最初对此拒不不认罪。
