ChatGPT passed the Google L3 engineer entry test

ChatGPT

According to reports from CNBC, ChatGPT can pass the interview of Google’s young software developers based on tests done internally by the search engine giant. The report claims that  ChatGPT was hired as an L3 engineer during interviews for coding jobs. The L3 position is Google’s junior software engineer position, which is typically appropriate for recent college grads and those seeking their first coding career. The salary for this position is about $180,000 a year.

ChatGPT will not replace human software engineers

In addition, when ChatGPT had to respond to claims that it will replace developers, the program said NO, it will not. The AI tool said

“No, ChatGPT will not replace software engineers, ChatGPT is a tool that can assist in certain tasks. It cannot completely replace human software Engineer creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Also, ChatGPT requires human oversight and guidance to function effectively.”

So, would it still be relevant in 20 years, or might lower-level jobs be more vulnerable—a possibility acknowledged by ChatGPT—than higher-level positions? However, it noted that the tech will never replace human software engineers. The idea is that it will only ever be an assistant to help software engineers. That is what it will ever be.

Professors from the University of Minnesota and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania claim that ChatGPT also passed exams for four law courses from the University of Minnesota as well as another exam from the Wharton School.

Since its debut, the AI chatbot ChatGPT has drawn a lot of interest. However, not every industry is excited about this new tech. Academics and some big tech companies are vehemently opposed to this tool. Nevertheless, news sites and, most recently, real estate brokers, are head over heels for this tool. It is used by the real estate sector to easily generate home descriptions. They can also respond to inquiries from clients, or figure out payback schedules. Many real estate agents even assert that they are unable to work without ChatGPT at this time.
