Master SAP Build Apps … in about an hour!

We have just released a new tutorial that is intended to make you an SAP Build Apps pro … to go beyond the beginner tutorials you may have already done.

Everything is still easy to do … so easy that even if you are a beginner you can start here. I even promise to help if you need.

So try it out today.

What the tutorial teaches

Among the things the tutorial teaches:

  • How to build a basic UI
  • How to create a backend data model (Visual Cloud Functions)
  • How to create server side functions
  • How to post data from your app to your backend
  • How to install complex components from the Marketplace
  • How to create your own composite component
  • How to create custom events
  • How to reuse logic flows
  • How to use sophisticated formulas
  • How to access data via destinations
  • How to do paging, sorting, and filtering on your OData service
  • How to manage navigation
  • How to create master-detail pages

… all in a 75-minute tutorial mission … with clear explanations of what’s happening all along the way.

You just want to run it? Import the source projects

If you don’t even have 90 minutes, you can import the source projects.

  1. Import the backend project into your SAP Build lobby. Then, open the project and deploy the backend.
  2. Import the frontend project. Then, open the project, go to Data tab, install integration with the backend, and enable the 2 entities and the function.

Set up the sandbox in 5 minutes

Whether you want to do the tutorial or just import the sources, use the sandbox system for free. It takes 5 minutes to set up.

See Joe Binkley‘s SAP Builders group post to get started with the sandbox: https://groups.community.sap.com/t5/sap-builders-blog-posts/announcing-the-sap-build-apps-sandbox/ba-p/128821

FInally, tell us your experience

Tell us how it all worked for you and what you want to see more of, by opening up a discussion on the SAP Builder’s group.
