Mobile phone service outage affecting Channel Islands

Mobile phone and broadband issues are being reported in the Channel Islands, affecting connectivity.

Telecom provider Sure said they were "aware of an issue impacting mobile services", but islanders have also reported issues with broadband services.

The company said calls, data and text messages were affected, but calls to 999 from a mobile were working.

It said: "Our engineers are investigating this urgently."

The company offered an apology for the inconvenience and said it was working to "restore service as quickly as possible".

Residents of Jersey and Guernsey have reported being affected by the outage.
