Upgraded from a XS to a 14 Pro today; already having times when I try to use gestures based on 3D touch (such as 3D touching the tab button in Safari to quickly close tabs) and get frustrated because the gestures are so slow. Really miss 3D touch, Haptic Touch doesn’t have the functionality ☹️

Also. Upgraded from iPhone X (IOS 12) to 14 Pro. After that I updated iPhone X to ios 16 and feeling from IOS 12 is gone. iPhone X on IOS 11-12 was 1000 times better phone than iPhone 14 Pro. I would stay but most of IOS apps force you to update and iPhone X on IOS 16 is not great.

I also went from an Xs to a 14 Pro. Honestly, I've not noticed that much of a difference other than being a touch slower. You really should be giving yourself a few weeks to adjust.

What Apple did to my favourite iPhone feature (3D Touch, it was so innovative, IMO) back on iOS 13 is nothing less than a crime.

They broke it. Completely. I have an iPhone 6s on iOS 10 so I get the full 3D Touch experience as it was intended. I love it.

Now? Now it’s close to useless.

I didn't even know you could 3D Touch that button. I think the keyboard trackpad would be what I'd miss the most.

I hardly remember what 3D Touch was.

You just have to hold the space bar down and it turns into the trackpad again.

I miss 3D touch as well, you do get used to haptic though but nothing will ever top 3d touch. It was awesome.

Took me a week to get used to when I upgraded from 6s to 11. Opening app switcher with 3D Touch was my favourite.

Yep. You can't highlight text as easily with that method unfortunately.

Wow! I didn’t know about this either… and I’ve been using/enjoying 3D Touch for years.

Glad to know about it now… though I guess this demonstrates the “undiscoverable” aspect of the feature, which likely hastened its demise.

Apple will bring it back in iOS 22 and call it new and innovative…Like MagSafe… RIP 3D Touch.

Yeah, I missed it too when I got an iPhone 11. I still kind of miss it. I miss it on the watch too. I can't remember their reasoning behind getting rid of it, especially since as far as I can tell it's still on Macs.

People say "I don't miss it" truly never pushed harder on the screen to get deeper into menus even faster.

Like boom boom boom and you can select whatever bluetooth device you're pairing.
