- Safari reports the incorrect OS version and processor type in the Safari User Agent.
is a deliberate change, it's not a bug.

- The British keyboard icon in the menu bar is wrong - shows as [A]
too.

Anyway, I don't know how useful is to list your personal small list of bugs. If you want I have a personal list of at least 100.

Am I the only one not able to launch the Mail app after updating? I already submitted a Feedback ticket.

Wrong statement lol. I see everyone downloading this:

Idk why they can't use the mail app lol.

But yeah, I haven't been having issues with the Mail app.

LOL... It's strange. When I click the Mail app icon from the dock, it looks like the application opens for half a second, then auto-quits. I tried restarting the OS again, no luck.

I don't use it, but I just opened the Mail App without incident.

Has anyone experienced the bug referenced in this Apple support forum regarding Ventura 13.1? TLDR: Language selection freezes and there is seemingly no way to progress past it. It looks to be an issue for these folks as they are trying to externally boot macOS 13.1, however, I am simply trying to enable those dangerous system extensions and I can't because after booting into recovery and selecting "options" it wants my language so no SoundSource for me. I would update to a beta if this was resolved. No question.

I just have a question,
Why is Safari the only version and build number the only thing the macOS beta community cares about? Previously, I had the build numbers for every single app.

It's rare to see any new apps that are bundled with MacOS betas. Most recent is Freeform. Ventura introduced updated Time and Weather apps. Safari is under a constant upgrading of supported features even if they fall under experimental. Safari is seeded across the previous 2 MacOS's, as well as the current MacOS latest betas. Additional the Safari Technology Preview such as 161 shows what apple might incorporate such as experimental support for AV1. So if one is looking for functional changes of the MacOS in what it supports Safari is one app to track. You might remember awhile back support for VP9 gradually got incorporated provided you have the necessary hardware and OS requirement.

Audio CD disc loaded into the external CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive won't appear on Finder (and Music app), although the external device itself is recognized by macOS, by inspecting the USB Device Tree with "System Information" app. I have tried two external drives I have - both Pioneer drives - but any CD discs can't be recognized by Ventura 13.2 beta 2. Anyone here having similar issue?

I would try, but I don't use discs anymore 😂

If you open the DVD Player app, does it read anything?

Unfortunately no - any DVD discs are not recognized by Finder - more precisely and highly probably, by macOS's VFS - and thus "DVD Player" app won't recognize the loaded DVD. Same applies to CD-data and CD Audio - not recognized by Finder (macOS's VFS) - and "Music" app (and other audio playback applications) won't recognize the loaded Audio CD.

At least until 13.2 beta 1, I didn't have such issue - I used the external drive frequently primarily for ripping audio CDs into lossless audio files.

This happens both on my mac Studio M1 Max, and 2019 MacBook Pro 16inch Intel i9 (so architecture independent).

I can't access any USB drives and SD card in USB card reader after the update in my iMac Pro. The devices appear in System Information -> USB but not showing their file systems. I can't even see the devices in Finder nor Diskutil.

No such issues for me. Data Discs and USB sticks read and write. I use Toast to record Optical Discs. Audio DVDs when inserted open the Music app and play as they should. I'm on a 2019 NcMP my Optical Drive is an Asus BW-16D1X-U

Not found the possible cause yet, but it's nice to know that I am not alone.

It could be some inconsistencies (possibly occured during the OS upgrade to beta2) or some bugs, of something related to filesystem components (implemented as extentions to BSD), but I'm not sure.

BTW @wilsonli what will happen if the USB drive is connected when your mac is turned off, then you boot up your mac?

Tried beta2 overwrite install - it won't fix the issue. So I'm patiently waiting for the next beta.

I would expect the RC tomorrow since very reliable leakers are expecting a press release. Any time we get new products, Apple always releases the RC build. Hoping this can fix some issues like the external hard drive issue (The most talked about issue in this beta)

I can confirm that Apple will be releasing 13.2 tomorrow because 13.2 is what was running on leaks for these new MacBook Pros.

While tomorrow might bring a 13.2 RC, Apple will not release 13.2 same day. What is the point of a RC then? The previous two years MacOS xx.2 issues were Jan 26, and Feb 1st.

Unfortunately 13.2 RC still won't fix the issue of unrecognized CD/DVD discs.
