World of Warcraft: Dragonflight M2 Max 38 Core GPU Performance…

I know some people are interested and this is a very first test but I’m so impressed with the performance over my M1 Max. Everything is maximum detail with ultra shadows at the native resolution of the laptop, I can’t get it to drop below 60fps in the few areas tested so far. The GPU is a very impressive leap forward and I will do some more videos as I get the Mac setup over the next few days.

Pretty cool! I’m guessing that’s the 16”? Have you tried turning the framerate cap off?I know some people are interested and this is a very first test but I’m so impressed with the performance over my M1 Max. Yes it is the 16”. I did and it was fluctuating between 80-110fps so plenty of headroom. So impressed so far.Pretty cool! I’m guessing that’s the 16”? Have you tried turning the framerate cap off?

Hello,
Thanks for all the info regarding the new M2 Max performance. Do you happen to see any issues with the RAM? ie Is it ever getting close to hitting near 32gb when running the game in mythics/raiding etc?
Just wondering cause I wasn't sure if I should get the 64GB version. And the 1TB seems to be no issues as well?

PS: WoW has more comfortable ingame FPS counter. Just press "Control + R" to switch it ON/OFF.

Thank you very much for testing WoW and share the results with us. If possible, can you also test StarCraft 2?
Thanks and have a very nice day

I usually just do Epic Battlegrounds (40v40 fights) that are super heavy. The M2 Max doesn't skip a beat. I don't get so much as a hiccup or stutter in World of Warcraft. The fans kick in during the massive first clashes in the BG's (no noticeable performance dip), and then fans settle down for the remainder of the match. Thermal management seems to be quite good.how are the fans/temps in Wow after 30-1hour?
Been playing for about 4 hours tonight at max settings and the fans are inaudible right now. I have not checked temperatures though.
Absolutely a beast of a machine for WoW.

That’s good to hear. I have a MBP M2 Max 12/38 64GB on the way and the only think I wanna play on it is WoW, so it’s nice to be reassured🙏.I usually just do Epic Battlegrounds (40v40 fights) that are super heavy.
