在交出了一份创纪录的低迷财报之后，Intel又开始对不赚钱的业务动刀了， 这次被砍的是Tofino网络交换机芯片、RISC-V Pathfinder项目。
Intel 2019年收购了网络公司Barefoot Networks，重点产品是Tofino系列可编程网络交换机ASIC，但这项业务的利润非常低，根本不赚钱，难逃被关停的厄运。
Intel CEO帕特·基辛格表示，Intel NEX网络与边缘事业部持续表现良好，是我们战略转换的核心板块，但是未来不会再投资网络交换机产品线，不过会保留对现有产品和客户的支持。
不过，Intel NIC网卡等其他网络业务不受影响。
