1月20日消息，推特（Twitter）于近日发布了《DeveloperAgreement》更新条款，明确不允许开发者继续开发第三方Twitter应用程序。在条款中明确提及不允许开发人员“为Twitter应用程序创建替代或类似的服务/产品”。
这意味着Tweetbot、Twitterrific、Aviary、Echofon、Birdie等第三方Twitter应用程序已经无法正常运行，也不清楚这些第三方客户端未来能否恢复访问。
据悉，Twitter官方于上周四悄然调整了API，导致大量第三方客户端无法正常运行。官方于1月18日发布推文，表示：“Twitter正在执行其长期存在的API规则。这可能会导致某些应用程序无法运行”。
而在整个过程中，第三方客户端的开发者从未收到来自于Twitter的任何通知，也没有收到要求关闭的公函。Twitter甚至于官方始终没有明确具体违反了哪些API。
