Development [ROM][13.0.0_r23]StagOS 13.0[cheetah][OFFICIAL][19/01/2023]

I'm interested in trying this. Do any of the custom ROMs (this one) have the ability to set a custom ringtone for each SIM? Still shocked the default Pixel ROM doesn't allow this and it's too late to return this device.

Stag does allow you to do that and much more .
Cheers!

Hey guys, my bad. Should've added the list.
By the next release I'll make sure to create the list of features and update on the OP.
Hopefully will compel you to give it a shot

Cheers, looking forward!

I haven't done anything specific to block it. But I am honestly unsure about the 32/64 bit situation. Maybe someone can try and let me know, If it doesn't work then I'll try looking into it.

The problem is that pixel 7/7 pro are only 64 bit, you can't install 32 bit app unless developpers like you change this in its Rom. But this does'n keep me from testing your Rom. Just wait for january update.

Noted. I probably figured how to do that. Will be enabling install of 32 bit applications in next release.
cheers.

I haven't yet. It's a huge ordeal to downgrade from the beta firmware and then flash a custom ROM but I may in a couple weeks. I want to try the new QPR2 beta for at least a week or two first as I was not amused with the battery or reception in the December build.

I'm gonna have to learn to flash ..This phone sucks ...One plus is way better ..First and last pixel

Disagreed. Came from a OnePlus 9. Ask OP how many times I bricked that thing and had to MSM because he got to hear about following his directions and still ending up with a brick. PixelFlasher makes the process easy, it's just signing into all my apps again that's annoying (and SwiftBackup won't restore my apps without breaking a bunch of them so I have to set them up anyway). I don't even have to use a custom boot image with the Pixel, I can flash from adb sideload, whereas the OnePlus required some kind of third party boot image.

The *only* downside with the Pixel is that there is no MSM tool so if you brick bad enough, you can't recover, but the OnePlus models released from the 9R on don't have that option either and they're extremely temperamental.

Finally, I had a screen issue, OnePlus would have required me to mail that to their depot. Google sent me to a uBreakiFix less than 10 minutes from my house and they fixed my phone in less than an hour. When they gave me a second screen that proved to be defective, I brought it back and had a working phone in less than an hour. That would have been at LEAST 3 weeks of sending and receiving with OnePlus and that would have required a lot of fighting with their crappy customer service versus less than 20 minutes chatting with a helpful rep from Google.

So yeah, feel free to go back for the superior SoC and modem, but the rest of it is so much better on the Google side, which is why I'm really struggling about whether I'll keep my Pixel 7 Pro that doesn't have full band support for my carrier (it's missing both 3.45GHz n77 and it's missing n70) or go to a Galaxy S23 Ultra that is expected to -- but will have many of its own inconveniences I don't currently experience on the Pixel side, including being unable to root at all.

I had a OP6, 7 and 8. Finally gave up because I got sick and tired of a.their software direction and b.the hoops you have to go through to update each and every time to be able to root and flash custom ROMs. Good riddance.

Hi, I've been working twelves for weeks now, so when I flash I wanted to be sure as possible. What I wasn't sure about was flash boot to both slots right, because I didn't see an initboot.
For root, the same?; Patch boot?
To flash kernel, do I need verity disabled on this or just stock right?
Sorry to ask, I looked over the few ROM threads also, and that was why I was hoping someone could confirm for me.
The only other thing I was wondering could I use the delta magisk and get the 32 bit(or just for stock)? Any replies welcome and appreciated.
I'm guessing that init boot will be present after I flash ROM but I see some Roms say flash ROM zip only, some say flash boot, and some say flash boot, dtbo, vendor, etc. I didn't want the question to be a mile long, I was just hoping to have a better idea since this will be the first custom ROM, and only have applied kernel, & 32 bit support so far.
Thank you sincerely.

Cellular connection has not been good with this rom. It's struggling to get more than one bar and I usually have full in my location. Other than that this rom has been good.

Hey I'll try to answer in short.

1. This rom requires to be flashed through fastboot. You literally just have to reboot to boot loader and follow instructions. Nothing to do with any adb or vendor_boot and all that stuff.
2. Root is one thing I am not entirely sure about. I use unrooted. I hope someone can help clarify the query about it.
3. For flashing custom kernel, just follow the instructions as it is from the custom kernel thread.

I hope that answers it all.

Is it just the signal bar, or is the reception actually bad compared to before.

One thing with stag is, it shows network reception (only visually), lesser than what it actually is but doesn't actually hamper with reception.
Do let me know.

Hey, so there is no sideload. Please check the install instructions

A new build has been released with January FW. Check 2nd post for changelog

FaceUnlock and 32 bit are supported now.

I will keep using the rom. Perhaps it's just my area is having connection issues today however it does seem like I lose connection or only have 1 bar often. Also which is the best way to update to January build? Is there OTA?

Root is done by patching the Init_boot.img (not the boot.img). FYI

Thank you very much for the reply y'all. It really means a lot and thank you very much for your effort on the ROM and especially for our device.
