Love this news so much; I'm not entirely sure why; maybe it's being an audiophile, but I think it's mainly because I love the idea of a separate device solely for music. Who doesn't miss the iPod nano days!?

Besides that, Sony really knocked it out of the park with these designs

The new Walkman will come in two different models but at different price points:

- NW-A300 ($360) - NW-ZX700 ($818)

I'd love to say I'll only get the budget one, but I might spring for the high end one.

The fact that it runs Android kind of means it's just a phone in a high end audio device's skin.

How do you even find or obtain these "high quality" files? And is AI audio upscaling really that good without high end head phones?

Neil Young tried this with his Pono Player and we know how that ended.

I appreciate this as an industrial design object for wealthy audiophiles, but have a hard time seeing this being a mass market product like the OG Walkman.

This is a genius idea.. what's old is new again.. and I like the fact that this version of the Sony Walkman can be the iconic device for the next generation of users.. my only question is that.. can people stream the music or do they have to download the music on their computer and then send to the Walkman via a cable connection?

Thanks again.. 😊🙏

Oh my, the beloved classic refreshed! It has a headphone jack! And physical buttons!
@taishiling Right!? Just the sight of buttons and a jack alone gets me itching to buy this!
