中国香港航天科技集团近日宣布，已经与吉布提共和国政府、达之路国际控股集团订立谅解备忘录，三方将合力开发、营运吉布提太空港。
根据谅解备忘录， 中国香港航天科技集团将投资10亿美元，在吉布提建立非洲第一个火箭发射场和航天中心，包括兴建7座卫星发射台、3座火箭试验台，以及电站、水厂、航天港、道路、港口等配套工程。
项目预计最早2027年完工，相关基础设施在30年内由吉布提与中国公司共同管理，之后移交给吉布提。
吉布提总统加莱称：“我非常自豪地签订了这个协议！”
