台积电昨天（29日）举行隆重的典礼，庆祝3nm工艺量产，虽然从时间上来说三星半年前就宣布首发3nm量产了，但是台积电的3nm工艺更有意义，因为会有大客户落地。
台积电联席CEO刘德音提到，
相比于5nm工艺，3nm工艺的逻辑密度将增加60%，相同速度下功耗降低30-35%。
这是当前最先进的芯片工艺，同时也意味着这是当前最贵的工艺——来自业内人士的消息指出，3nm代工价格突破2万美元/片晶圆，也就是14万元左右才能加工一片12英寸晶圆，生产数百颗芯片。
不仅价格贵，目前良率还在爬坡，提升需要过程，再加上当前市场需求下滑， 因此3nm首批投片量只有数千片，目前只有苹果有需求， 只有苹果用得起这样昂贵的新工艺。
