机器学习在引力波数据处理中的应用

Abstract

自2015年引力波被美国LIGO首次直接探测以来,我们已探测到超过100例引力波事件。和理论预期的一致,双黑洞并合、双中子星并合和黑洞中子星并合都已被成功观测到。随着探测技术的不断进步,越来越多的引力波事件有望被探测到,这不仅要求我们要进一步提高引力波数据处理的速度和性能,也意味着发现完全未知的波源和引力波信号需求的增长。相比于传统的数据处理方式而言,机器学习技术非常有望解决上述提到的技术难题和科学问题。本报告将对机器学习引力波数据分析等相关研究进展进行概述,对机器学习方法所带来的机遇与挑战做粗浅的讨论。
