Of all of the skills technology professionals need to master, troubleshooting systems just might be the most important. You would be hard-pressed to find a successful professional who doesn't have a good grasp of troubleshooting methodologies and best practices. We find ourselves honing these skills from our earliest days, whether in the classroom or powering through a ticket queue.

Think back to when you were a fledgling sysadmin. You had to repeat commands, scripts, and strategies over and over before finally grasping what happened both on the screen and behind the scenes. I spent a lot of time asking questions and watching more senior techs cruise through scenarios that seemed incredibly complex to me. If only I had had access to an amazing set of resources in the form of guides, how-to's, and more. I would have been much more effective as a junior sysadmin.

Enable Sysadmin has entered the chat.

Our troubleshooting guides are exactly that. From "command not found" to Kubernetes namespaces stuck in terminating—if you need to fix it, we have a guide for you. Be sure to check out each of these fantastic articles linked below (and our other troubleshooting articles) and take advantage of the knowledge and skills of our incredible group of contributors.

And if you have a troubleshooting tip, consider sharing it by writing for Enable Sysadmin. Join our community and continue the tradition of knowledge sharing that makes the Linux ecosystem great.
