近日，有游戏粉丝在社交媒体上向真人快打系列制作人Ed Boon提问，《真人快打》电影续集的进度怎么样了。这位制作人并没有搪塞 ，直言恢复称：“正在阅读令人兴奋的剧本”。
根据该制作人的回复不难猜测出，电影《真人快打2》的剧本已经接近完成，如果剧本没问题的话，该片应该会在2023年开拍，并且有望在2024年上映。
坦率来说，本片前作虽然取得了不错的票房，单口碑稀碎，豆瓣仅5.3分，妥妥属于“毁原作”的烂片，毕竟《真人快打11》在Steam上的口碑可是特别好评，游戏性和完成度都非常高。
