Great content which also serves as a reference guide for various Tabular modeling concepts. Anybody new to Tabular will find this useful especially if you want to work with SSAS engine beyond what is available in Power Pivot and Power BI.

It's a quality reference. Am a bit disappointed though. It's already out of date, quite basic in places where the MS documentation and blogs offer more value. Perhaps a few years ago this would be a good buy but with the changing face of Microsoft in terms free up to date training content and faster releases it's probably much harder to get a book out into the market that is relevant. It seems a bit rushed - perhaps before the 2017 release and there are mistakes to show it with some paragraphs that don't make sense - and I'm no grammar boff.

If you are trying to deploy a complete BI solution with Power Pivo or Power BI you really need to read it, but you need to be very focused is not a completely technical book, but it requires all your attention to get the most of it. Additional you can see the video course and you will have a more clear understanding of the Tabular modeling.
