美国的“洞察号”火星车结束了自己的使命，“毅力号”还在继续努力，正在另一个星球上为人类创建第一个样本库。
12月21日，毅力号火星车将一个钛合金“试管”丢在了火星表面，其中装的是火星岩石样本，大约有一根粉笔那么大。
这些样本是今年1月31日在南塞塔地区从一块昵称为“马来人”的岩石上收集的，那里不久前发现了有机物，一种可能的生命成分。
这是下一代火星探测器将将毅力号采集样本带回地球时的备份。
