尽管A16处理器因为底子好，依然是当前最强大的手机处理器之一，然而，坦率来说，苹果今年的确是有些挤牙膏的成分在。
对此，有内部媒体爆料称， 苹果最早规划的A16原本有着划时代的升级幅度，可最终因为出现了工程上的致命失误，导致实际芯片比软件模拟功耗更高，进而导致芯片过热、电池续航衰减，苹果不得不放弃。
据悉，苹果原打算为A16的GPU引入光线追踪技术，而且芯片也应是台积电4nm工艺，但这一切都没有成行。
混乱之后苹果不得不搬出一颗和A15很相似的A16来交差，最初的想法恐怕还需要一段时间打磨。
实际上自2019年以来，苹果设计团队已经流失了数十位高级人才或者管理人员，目前苹果芯片团队的一号人物没变，还是Johny Srouji。
