i couldn't find any other os that's completely working on the RN8T. None have a good camera, and even though the hardware is not top notch it wouldn't make sense to me to leave most of it unused because the camera app doesn't know it. Otherwise i'd use LOS, was perfect for me. All the other MIUI makeovers i tried had a lot of crap apps additionally, worse than what Xiaomi got me in my box.
As if no one wants a crap free simple working phone, or is unable to make it so.
idk what you mean or what are you looking for tbh
but note that :
-on RN8/T "custom roms" work/perform better than miui
-if you care about privacy : No miui + No Gapps
-if you want performance : custom rom + a good kernel
-if you want good battery : custom rom + a good kernel + no gapps
-if you want good cam : custom rom (A10/11) + aryaman lib patcher + Gcam
