日前，微信键盘1.0.0正式版在Android、iOS平台上线，截稿前，
微信键盘登顶苹果Apple Store工具榜免费App第一，用时不到1天。
微信事业群总裁张小龙此前表示，推出微信键盘的目的并不是为了与其它输入法应用抢夺市场，而是为了更好的保护用户隐私。
根据微信键盘隐私政策，对于个人信息的处理，开发团队称，软件在提供多样化输入法功能的同时，非常重视用户的个人信息和隐私保护，无需注册和登录即可直接使用。
同时，在首次安装并使用微信键盘时，会默认设置为“隐私保护模式”，该模式下， 用户所输入的内容不会被上传至腾讯服务器，仅在本地设备存储。
