A free platform for mentoring and personal development

Hi, Product Hunters!

I’m Hansi, the founder of You2Mentor, I started this journey to create a platform for personal development to bridge the accessibility gap to find mentors outside of our network and to have the tools to drive an individual’s development in one place.

Mentorship benefits both mentors and mentees. Traditionally, if we are fortunate enough to have a mentor, it’s generally one mentor at a time and within the same industry or organisation. Research backs up this reality and shows that only 37% of individuals have a mentor, even though 76% believe it’s important to have one. Further, 61% of those with a mentor have one within the same organisation they work at, which limits diverse perspectives.

You2Mentor was created to bridge that gap by providing a free peer-to-peer platform where a mentee can utilise a tribe of mentors to support their journey while opening up traditional ways of mentoring through a wider network across industries and countries.

It is also worth noting that mentoring is currently geared towards high-income or developed countries, and it is largely regarded as a luxury for low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Part of You2Mentors social agenda is to support the development of individuals in these countries by bridging the accessibility gap through the platform.
