The worlds first hourly rate dataset for freelancers

I like the idea. I used to underestimate my knowledge, work, and time. This tool could finally change it. Congratulation on the launch!
@busmark_w_nika this would definitely change the game of negotiation and clients will pay for the value you bring not just your hours.
@busmark_w_nika I hope so! Imposter syndrome is real, hopefully this lets people realize their specific skills provide hard value.

Hi everyone! Really excited to finally launch this after a few months of gathering data and heads down building 😊.

I made this site because it's just an obvious market gap that can benefit a lot of people. Freelancing has become more and more common in the past few decades, even more-so lately following the coronavirus pandemic. Glassdoor exists for regular employees, levels.fyi exists for tech workers, payscale exists for aggregate information at a national scale. But what about freelancers? How can they figure out the hourly rates they should charge? How can they figure out what they're worth? Why does this not already exist?

Well.. before today, the way to figure out your worth as a freelancer was by just slowly charging more and more until somebody said no. That could take months, years even. No more! Now freelancers can just check our site and see what other people are charging. Through that, they can figure out what they should charge.

This site is and will always be free. The data is totally crowdsourced (and vetted).

If you happen to be a freelancer yourself, I encourage you to share your rate data. Help us help you! The more data we have, the more value we can give to you and others.

If you're not a freelancer, welcome! Maybe this tool can help you figure out how much you should pay next time you hire one. Or, maybe, in using this tool, you realize that your skillset is actually incredibly profitable and this motivates you to become a freelancer yourself. In that case, please just remember us after your first job, come back and share your rate. 😎
