12月14日凌晨，《巫师3：狂猎》的次世代升级版将正式上线，由于CDPR并未开启更新预载，导致大部分玩家都对该作的更新大小异常关注。
目前，
《巫师3》次时代版的PS5版更新信息已经流出，该版本编号为4.01，更新文件的容量达到了惊人的50.619GB，甚至超过了《巫师3》本体的49.87GB，堪称恐怖。
之所以更新包的体积会如此夸张，与该作对于光影渲染和贴图的全面升级有关。
据悉， 此次的次世代升级版将采用4K高清贴图，引入光线追踪，并优化了原本的光栅化渲染效果，让其拥有接近光追的效果。
