Hmm it could work. I believe the L1 is related to the status of the bootloader. As far as I know all vendors ship their devices with an unlocked bootloader (it doesn't matter if the device's running Global or Chinese rom). Mine arrived with Global rom + unlocked bootloader -> I flashed it back to the Chinese rom (still L3) -> I tried to re-lock the bootloader but failed and got bricked lol.
So, you could just ask them if the device has L1/could stream Netflix higher than SD straightly. Good luck
I asked him and he told me that he stays in L3 with the global one, he still hasn't answered me how it would be with the Chinese ROM. Something I don't understand is that in the product title it says L1 widevine

You can google translate the following link, go to the section where the author put 1,2,3 bulletins for more information regarding region lock. This guide was for last year's device and is not working in 2022.

I changed the system to CN version (TB128FU_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00012.0_S_ZUI_13.5.365_ST_220526_qpst ) and widevine still was L3, so I have locked the tablet and it semi bricked the tablet. So after hours trying to return to normal, I unlocked the tablet again and QFIL the CN ROM again (TB128FU_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00012.0_S_ZUI_13.5.365_ST_220526_qpst ) and updated the CN ROM to latest version.

En primer lugar, cuando me llegó el XiaoXin Pad, vi en la información DRM de la aplicación que widevine es L3 y rom global... Cambié el sistema a la versión CN (TB128FU_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00012.0_S_ZUI_13.5.365_ST_220526_qpst) y widevine todavía era L3, entonces He bloqueado la tableta y semibloqueó la tableta. Yes, use CN ROM and update to the latest version before lock the device and L1 will work. Btw, you can use VPN China to check and install updates via OTA.

Normally the sellers change to Global ROM before send the device. If it arrived with CN ROM probably it already locked and updated to latest ROM. But if arrived with Global ROM the device is unlocked and you need to QFIL CN ROM (TB128FU_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00012.0_S_ZUI_13.5.365_ST_220526_qpst) and update to latest version before lock the device to L1 works.

Normally the sellers change to Global ROM before send the device. If it arrived with CN ROM probably it already locked and updated to latest ROM. But if arrived with Global ROM the device is unlocked and you need to QFIL CN ROM (TB128FU_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00012.0_S_ZUI_13.5.365_ST_220526_qpst) and update to latest version before lock the device to L1 works.

Also you can unistall those unwanted CN apps and use gboard as well. There are some apps you can use to translate like setedit.

Even if you order the Chinese version of Zui and the Chinese seller promises, they will most likely send you the global version with unlocked bootloader, you can't take their word for it!
everything works fine on zui if you follow the manual i posted to set up

To lock again the pad, you just need activate the debug USB and power off the device and go to fastboot mode and on cmd in computer you type:
1. fastboot devices (to see if your device is there)
2. fastboot flashing lock and select the option on your device and done.
ONLY LOCK IF YOU HAVE THE LATEST UPDATE IN ZUI (ZUI_13.5.476_ST).

I confirm this method works for me. L1 is available after flashing the CN then update to 476 and "fastboot flashing lock". Thanks bro

Fastboot command is not working for me. It shows "bootloader version unknown" on my tablet screen. How can I fix this?
Is there any other command I could try?

Instructions for migrating to ZUI 13.5.365 on a xiaoxin pad 2022 snapdragon 680 tablet with m10 plus 3rd gen TB128FU global rom installed and unlocked bootloader (not to be confused with m10 plus 3rd gen with mediatek helio g80 processor).

After the first boot it is recommended to perform a factory data reset.
Tutorial qpst(qfil) flash firmware on (xiaoxin pad pro) but the same procedure.

Tutorial for app setedit, switch apps to your native language
Install app setedit from play store on your phone and tablet, on the tablet click on add new settings and create the same value that appears on your phone "system_locales" without " " are automatically added, then add the abbreviation of your language and country without the " " example: "en-US" then restart your device.
Applications will switch to your native language, system settings will remain in English, you will get used to it very quickly.
You can manually uninstall all junk chinese apps.
From apps vpn chinese you can update zui firmware if you want, future zui 14 and android 13 downloaded from OTA.
The last step is to deny the special access of the security application, in the settings search engine that is in the upper part of the left side write (especial app access) and deny all security app permissions otherwise it will modify and deactivate the notifications by itself from other applications that you have granted as other permisiones.UPDATE: by accident, I got the tablet working again by:- (accidently) erasing the first physical partition (lun0) . I used a modified version of emmcdl, but you could also use QFIL's Partition Manager or the "edl" tool.
- telling QFIL to download lun0 again, by running with only rawprogram0.xml
- restoring my oem, persist and frp backups

I have a global TB-128FU running TB128FU_S000058_220816_ROW. I've been playing around with it and very successfully bricked it.
But I thought I'd share what I learned about the device's bootloader. Hopefully it helps with further development on this tablet.bootloader
The bootloader is contained in the abl.elf file. It is called LinuxLoader.efi.
The bootloader was not compiled with the ENABLE_UPDATE_PARTITIONS_CMDS and ENABLE_DEVICE_CRITICAL_LOCK_UNLOCK_CMDS flags. That's why bootloader commands are limited. This means that the bootloader does not recognise flash, erase, set_active, flashing get-unlock-ability, flashing unlock, flashing lock, flashing unlock_critical and flashing lock_critical commands from the fastboot utility. Some of those commands might work in fastbootd, but I didn't test that before I bricked my tablet.
Hopefully Lenovo will compile the bootloader with those flags enabled in the next OTA.oem unlock-flash
There are some fastboot oem commands, including fastboot oem unlock-flash. But that command seems to relate to a device state, rather than un/locking the bootloader.
The device state is "unlocked" when byte 0x20 of the lenovolock partition is set to 0x02. It is "locked" when byte 0x20 is set to 0x01. DO NOT set byte 0x20 to 0x01. You will lock your device...just like I did. And I think you'd probably lock your device by running fastboot oem lock-flash. So DO NOT run fastboot oem lock-flash either.
When byte 0x20 is set to 0x01, you can read from the device but you can't write to it. So you can enter bootloader, fastbootd, edl and stock recovery. You can query the device and read from the device in those modes, but you can't write to the device. So emmcdl, qfil, LMSA etc are all denied permission to write to the device. The bootloader can't flash/erase because it doesn't recognise those commands. Android just bootloops.
There is a process to set byte 0x20 back to 0x02 using the bootloader, but it requires a private RSA key - which is presumably in Lenovo's labs. The process is:- run
fastboot oem getRandom. This gives you two random hex numbers. - use SHA256 to create a hash of a message (without the brackets): <random#1><serialno><random#2>
- sign the hash with the correct private RSA key. The paired public RSA key is hardcoded in the bootloader.
- run
fastboot oem tokenmultiple times passing first the hash and then the signature in 32-byte chunks. The last fastboot oem token command will tell you it's okay to run the unlock-flash command. - run
fastboot oem unlock-flash. If it accepts your hash and signature, it will set byte 0x20 of lenovolock to 0x02 and erase the lenovoraw and lenovocust partitions.
I'd love to get this to work, because it's the only way I can unbrick my tablet. But none of the private RSA keys I could find on the stock ROM are the correct pair for the bootloader's hardcoded public RSA key. If anyone has the correct key, I promise I won't share it if you PM it to me.
Or if anyone knows a way to flash my backup of lenovolock.img, I'd love to hear it. Remember - I can't use edl, fastboot, fastbootd or stock recovery to write to the device...and I can't get into Android to use adb. Do you have this Firmware?I summed up below information about the global firmware (I haven't tested the chinese one so far):
TB128FU_S000020_220309 (shipped by Leonovo Office Store from Aliexpress):
- Camera application fails to record videos
- Crack and pops in the soundtrack of games or benchmark if switch between apps
- The battery charge may result in soft brick of the tablet (back screen), in that case a forced reboot (3 buttons pressed) is required
- The firmware is not very stable (frequent freeze) and optimized (<24000 in Antutu although the tablet is recognized as authentic)
TB128FU_S000058_2208162203_Q00126_ROW or TB128FU_S300168_220916_ROW (they sounds identical, just the name has been changed, from Lenovo Online Store on Aliexpress):
- No major bug detected so far
- Antutu score > 26000, it's detected as fake by Antutu
TB128FU_S000037_2204241350_Q00126_ROW (from Banggood): not tested
TB128FU_S000047_220612_ROW (link in the previous page) : not tested
TB128FU_S000058_2208162203_Q00126_ROW or TB128FU_S300168_220916_ROW
