牛津词典2022年度词汇：Goblin mode
2022年，牛津词典第一次让公众在三个候选词中投票决定当年年度词汇，最后Goblin mode赢得头筹，当选牛津词典2022年度词汇。
Goblin mode指的是一种“毫无愧疚感的自我放纵、懒惰、邋遢或贪婪的状态，通常以一种违背社会规范、拒绝社会期望的形式”出现，大概就是中文语境中的“摆烂”。
这个词于2009年在Twitter上首次出现，但在2022年2月迅速流行，当时疫情限制逐渐放松，不过有些人拒绝或挣扎于回归常态，毫不愧疚地继续以这种方式生活。泰晤士报曾发表一篇评论，称很多人已经接受了Goblin mode，以此来“回应艰难的一年”。
其余两个候选词为metaverse，即元宇宙，以及“#IStandWith”，一个标签词，用来表示“声援特定事业、团体或个人”，回应了这一年来的社会撕裂。
