We have beta tested this app at apartment communities, parties, and universities to facilitate close proximity connections with the right people, in the same room, at the same time, with the same interests.
Interesting concept. I do feel that the whole proximity networking is a bit contested. I'm ok with it but I know folk that hated that feature on some dating apps. I suppose this is GoSayHELLO whole UVP, so will attract just users that are into that.
@florin_biro Thanks for the comment. We do not ask users for their sexual preferences or relationship statuses. GoSayHELLO is about networking within a minutes walk (not miles). At scale, this will be a tool that will make networking much easier. Imagine knowing there is someone in the room (e.g. in the grocery store) that went to your same university, from your same hometown, or in your same profession. More conversations would be sparked. For example, when I wear apparel representing my university alma at conferences or in the grocery store people initiate conversation more with my alma mater being the main talking point. Now, this app will facilitate those same conversation even when I don’t wear my alma mater on my sleeve. It’s like a geolocation version of LinkedIn.
@monte_applewhite got ya, and I'm all for it for those reasons. But there are people that have the anxiety of being approached. The app is great and has a target audience, but is not going to be a great idea for everyone.
