11 月 23 日，马斯克发推回应新闻媒体 Semafor 主编 Ben Smith，称“我和 Twitter 都没有从 SBF/FTX 获得任何投资，你的文章在撒谎”。马斯克称“Semafor 归 SBF 所有，这与其报告存在巨大利益冲突”，并驳斥了任何关于 SBF 拥有 Twitter 股份的说法，“SBF 可能持有作为上市公司的 Twitter 的股份，但他肯定不拥有 Twitter 作为私人公司的股份”。
