Laughed a bit at that QR Code one, since the algorithm is pretty straightforward and there are a plethora of packages to chose from for a lot of languages. But, I guess, an API call is the same thing.

Sure thing. Just on top of my head. - normalized flags with multiple sizes - list of academic institutions - list of governmental institutions - list of ports - timezone conversions (uhg) - expand on image processing, conversion to other formats - some video processing - plagiarism - planets, stars & such
You can also leverage AIs that can analyze data for certain things - face recognition - nudity - profanity - hate speach (may be too subjective...)
And the list goes on and on and on.
