对于暴雪和网易分手这件事，丁磊表示，“我们非常希望能继续代理暴雪游戏，为此付出非常多努力，但谈判难度远超预期。对关键核心条款，包括长远运营、玩家权益等都是暴雪提出的，这些条款也是我们不能接受的。
随后传出了什么腾讯、完美世界等等，国内游戏有意接手的情况，不过从目前情况看，应该都不大可能拿下，除了利润的要求外，还有版号。
当然更重要的是就是，暴雪要拿走国内游戏玩家的所有数据你能接受？
有外媒报道称，据知情人士透露， 除了财务条款之外，暴雪与网易终止合作的关键症结还在于，"知识产权的所有权"和"对中国各地数百万玩家数据的控制"。
