Metaverse could contribute $79-$148 billion to Indian economy by 2035
The report estimates that the impact of the metaverse on GDP in Asia could be between $0.8 trillion and $1.4 trillion per year by 2035, roughly 1.3 to 2.4 per cent of overall GDP.
The report highlights digital payments, gaming and entertainment as the two key sectors where the metaverse would impact India.
